Truro Town Deal
Celebrating the success of the Green Transport public engagement day
As part of our ongoing support to the Truro Town Deal and Cornwall Council projects, we supported them to deliver a campaign for their Green Transport public engagement day.
The project, designed to support sustainable urban development and foster community involvement, saw an incredible response with over 200 participants engaging both online and in person at a dedicated event.
Unveiling an update vision for a connected river city
Our campaign centred around promoting a series of proposals aimed at creating a more connected, sustainable, and vibrant Truro. These initiatives, part of a collaborative effort between Cornwall Council and the Truro Town Deal Board, are set to enhance the city’s infrastructure and community spaces.
Key projects highlighted
The opinion and contributions of residents and business owners local to the area of Truro, was a top priority of the campaign, so we focused on gaining coverage within the local and online media outlets.
Social media also played a big role in the campaign as we were able to utilise existing community groups to share the messaging about the public engagement day.
A day for the community to engage
On Wednesday, November 22, the Truro Methodist Church buzzed with activity from 10 am to 7 pm as residents and business owners gathered to view the detailed plans and share their feedback. The event offered a unique platform for the community to engage directly with the visionaries behind these projects and to voice their opinions on the future of their city.
The successful campaign not only drew considerable attention but also sparked meaningful conversations about the future of Truro. The positive response underscores the community’s eagerness to engage with these projects and contributed to the development of a shared vision of a better future for Truro.
“These proposals represent the heart of our project portfolio. We’re excited to showcase how they come together to create a thriving, connected Truro.”
Alan Stanhope, Chair of the Truro Town Deal
