Digital Futures Cornwall

Building tools to power long-term growth

Green Agile Creative

In September 2025, Agile won a competitive tender to deliver a creative campaign for Digital Futures Cornwall – a collaborative of nine training providers with a shared mission to develop digital skills in the business community and workforce.

Against a wider picture of diminishing funding for Cornwall under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Digital Futures Cornwall wanted to encourage business owners to prioritise upskilling their teams – and plan resources accordingly.

They wanted to champion the value of CPD – not only as a driver of skills and productivity, but as a proven route to improved staff satisfaction, retention, innovation and profitability.

The Challenge

Digital Futures Cornwall was looking for an innovative and highly creative approach to promoting CPD and workforce planning – a cross online and offline channels.

The partnership had a clear idea of the audiences they were looking to reach – from senior tech business leaders to food and drink producers in the start-up stage.

Deliverables the tender called for included:

  • A robust discovery phase
  • A strategic plan
  • Confident delivery across PR, social media,
  • Monitoring and evaluation

Action

Whilst we knew that case studies would form a crucial part of any campaign, we wanted to move the creative campaign from simple reach to active engagement, anddeliver tangible tools that could provide a legacy for the Digital Futures Cornwall project.

We pitched the campaign “Power Up Your People” – an overarching concept featuring Cornwall business owners and employers who have engaged with training through the Digital Futures Cornwall partnership.

But we also pitched two tools for businesses to engage with – a scorecard questionnaire for businesses to complete a survey and received a tailored report, plus a CPD-planning tool.

During our robust Discovery phase, the partnership developed a concept for a digital dashboard, based on Power BI, to calculate a business’s potential Return on Investment for developing their team.

Agile also pitched the opportunity to embed CPD within our delivery. As part of the campaign, Rachel accessed training with the Chartered Institute of PR in Smartphone video production. She used her background in print journalism and storytelling to develop both written and video case studies for four businesses.

Impact

Project outputs:

  • In-depth Discovery session plus a co-creation session to develop the tools
  • Strategic plan plus Agile campaign planning
  • Campaign identity for Power Up Your People
  • Four case studies – including photography, written story and videos shot on iphone
  • Press release announcing the campaign and tools
  • Digital advertising to drive engagement in the CPD tools
  • Monthly evaluation plus full report on completion of the project

The Results

  • Almost 300,000 views of content across social media channels
  • 1600+ visits to the Scorecard landing page
  • 5 team members upskilled in both Power BI dashboard training and Mobile phone video production
  • Six pieces of coverage plus one piece of print coverage across target media
  • Two digital tools for ongoing use amongst the partnership

“Working with Agile on the Digital Futures Cornwall campaign has been a fantastic experience. From the outset, they took the time to really understand our partnership and the diverse audiences we wanted to reach, bringing thoughtful insight alongside fresh, creative thinking.

“Power Up Your People” not only gave us a strong and engaging campaign identity, but also delivered practical tools that will have a lasting impact beyond the life of the project. Their ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on delivery across PR, content and digital channels was invaluable.

It was a genuinely collaborative process throughout, and we’re delighted with both the results and the legacy this work will leave. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.”
