Setting the gold standard for climate transition plans

Teaming up with a shared purpose, The Agile Communications Agency and Hutch Agency collaborate to bring to life a ground-breaking UK-government initiative. The goal? Empower businesses to navigate the shift towards a greener future through Transition Planning, to unlock financial resources needed to achieve net zero.

Unveiled at COP26 in Glasgow, the Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) was tasked with nothing short of setting the Gold Standard for transition plans, uniting both public and private sectors in pursuit of sustainability.

But what exactly are transition plans? Think of them as roadmaps guiding businesses away from outdated, planet-harming practices towards sustainable alternatives. The success of this transition, and likelihood of financial investment, hinges on the credibility of these plans.

While the core team at TPT were the masters of the content and research behind transition plans, they turned to Agile and Hutch to lend a hand in every facet of communication and branding.

The challenge

As a newly created organisation, TPT had just two years to establish, deliver on their mandate, and tackle a labyrinth of challenges —navigating existing transition plans, flexing through regulatory changes, rallying business leaders, juggling public and private interests, all while ensuring credibility and measuring impact.

While the core team at TPT were the masters of the content and research behind transition plans, they turned to Agile and Hutch to lend a hand in every facet of communication and branding.

The solution

It all began with a journey of discovery, delving deep into TPT’s audience, goals, and motivations. Partnered with personas tailored to resonate with diverse stakeholders, Agile set out to create meaningful user experiences through a new website and a series of visually stunning publications. With TPT’s mantra of “our publications must always be beautiful,” Agile and Hutch’s collaboration brought to life 25 downloadable publications, each a beacon towards sustainability.

But the adventure didn’t end there. Midway through the project, Agile answered the call of evolving customer needs, launching a phase 2 of the website, this time partnering with 2 more awesome businesses: PB+J Web Design for build and Scott Fulton for wireframing. The website resulted in effective user centric navigation complete with a resource hub. The result? A symphony of success, with TPT’s brand shining brightly on the global stage, from COP28 in Dubai to boardrooms around the world.

The results

With strategic project planning and nimble execution, Agile and Hutch not only met deadlines but exceeded expectations, solidifying their reputation as experts in communications and compelling creatives. But don’t just take our word for it.

In the end, it’s not just about delivering publications; it’s about working with brilliant people to pave the way for a brighter, greener future—one beautifully designed publication at a time.
