Accelerating action: how we’re championing women’s progress

International Women’s Day 2025 is all about accelerating action – and we’re here for it! At Agile, we’re not just clapping from the sidelines; we’re diving in headfirst and making things happen every single day. Real change doesn’t come by accident – it takes effort, heart, and a good dose of stubborn optimism. Here’s how we’re turning action into progress:

Supporting women’s economic empowerment

Let’s face it: money matters. Financial independence means more choices, freedom, and security – and we’re ALL about helping women make their mark in business. Whether it’s crafting stories that sparkle, boosting their digital presence, or making sure they’re getting paid what they deserve, we’ve got their backs.

And we don’t just talk the talk. We’re a gold-standard four-day week employer and a living wage employer because we believe fair pay and a healthy work-life balance should be the rule, not the exception.

We’re super proud to have worked with amazing women-led businesses and teams like Tech Cornwall, The Growth Hub, Cornwall Rural Community Charity and NCIMI. Whether it’s refining their messaging, building their brand, or getting them the results they deserve, we’re all in. From SEO strategies that help them get seen to PR campaigns that turn up the volume, we’re helping women thrive – one win at a time.

Building and retaining diverse talent

Diversity is more than just a buzzword – it’s the foundation of true innovation. For us, it’s not just about increasing the number of women we hire or partner with; it’s about fostering an environment where they can grow, lead, and truly be heard.

We hire for potential, not just traditional experience, and we’re passionate about mentoring and empowering the next generation of leaders. Our policies aren’t just words on a page – our Diversity, Equality, Equity, and Inclusion (DEEI) policy is a living commitment that ensures everyone in our workplace is respected, valued, and given the opportunity to succeed. It’s not just a statement – it’s at the heart of who we are.

We’ve also created clear pathways to leadership for women within our team, supporting their growth and helping them thrive as they advance.

We may be small, but we’re mighty. As we scale, we’re embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into every part of our growth, ensuring we do it right from the very beginning.

Helping women take control of their health

As someone with a chronic illness, I’m a big believer in flexibility. Our mostly remote setup means I can rock my job while taking care of my health – no guilt, no drama. Because here’s the thing: when people feel supported, they thrive.

We’ve also got a menstruation and menopause policy that actually works. No one should have to “power through” in silence. If you need a break, take one. If you need to work a little differently, that’s cool too. No awkward conversations – just real, genuine support.

And don’t get us started on psychological safety – it’s everything. When people feel comfortable sharing how they’re doing, we can support them in the best way possible. That all starts with a culture of trust and care.

Opening doors to education and training

Knowledge is power – and we’re making it easy to access. We’ve been delivering training and coaching in person for years, but with new(ish) our online Academy, we’re taking things to the next level. Accessible? Check. Flexible? Double check.

From in-person training to speaking at events like Women in Tech SEO and the BIG Cornish Tech Showcase, we’re not just sharing what we know – we’re learning from others too. It’s all about growing together.

And because education shouldn’t cost a fortune, when we can, we offer free training opportunities for underrepresented groups. Because when we lift each other up, we all rise.

Turning talk into action

Real change isn’t about sounding good – it’s about showing up and getting stuff done. For us, accelerating action isn’t just a tagline – it’s how we do business. Every. Single. Day.

Whether it’s fair pay, flexible work, or creating more opportunities for women, we’re committed to being part of the solution. And guess what? We’re not slowing down anytime soon.

Ready to work with a team that actually walks the walk? Let’s chat – we promise it’ll be fun!
