We’re extremely excited to be working towards B Corp certification

2024 isn’t just any old year for us, it’s going to be an incredible year! We have big plans for the Agile Communications Agency and part of those plans involve us working towards B Corp Certification.  

What is B Corp

B Corps are companies that have been verified by B Lab to meet their high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.  

B Lab proudly states that “We need an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet. Let’s use business as a force for good” which is why B Corp certification exists. To get B Corp certification, companies go through a rigorous evaluation process that reviews their impact on workers, communities and the environment. 

There are currently 1500 B Corps in the UK and we’re hoping to join them very soon!  

Why do we want to be a B Corp?

B Corp companies are committed to meeting high standards of social and environmental sustainability which aligns so closely with our own mission and values.  

We want to be socially and environmentally responsible, and B Corp certification helps us ensure we’re doing the right things. 

But it’s not a quick easy win, the evaluation process is intense, which is how we know it’s worthwhile doing!  

I’m incredibly excited to drive our B Corp application forward, it’s a big part of my role at Agile and something I’m proud to dedicate my time to.  
 
I really believe that in the ever-evolving landscape of business, the year 2024 is going to be the year for companies wanting to vibe with their values while plotting their growth and securing the bottom line. 

The world is waking up to the fact that being a responsible business isn’t just a trend; it’s necessary. Governments are getting on the bandwagon, and consumers are all about supporting businesses that align with their own values. So, if you want your brand to be the best thing since ‘sliced-avo-bread’, now’s the time to B Corp. 

Picture this: consumers today are Sherlock-level investigators. They want to know everything about your business, from where your materials come from to how you treat your employees. Being a B-Corp is like laying all your cards on the table. Transparency is the new black, and authenticity is what makes you Insta-worthy.

Not only from a business case point of view but building a purpose-driven marketing strategy that aligns with your B-Corp ethos, is the ultimate power move.
